Mind the Gap is a rock and roll band, covering a wide variety of music from the 1960s to present, including a few originals. MTG is formed from a group of IBM’ers with engineering backgrounds, bringing not only great sound but a few fun surprises to each show. Having day jobs allows the band to also pursue another key interest, giving back to those in need. Mind the Gap is a nonprofit organization and donates the band’s income to worthy charitable organizations.
When true country music came to town in the 30’s and 40’s, it claimed bluegrass as an edgy style of honest music with a rock and roll attitude. Pioneers of the genre were equal parts virtuosos, Saturday night rock stars and Sunday morning gentlemen carving out a new niche in an urban, bluegrass landscape. The Hotwires pays respect to those early innovators, yet strives to push past what’s expected, even within those boundaries, to shape a cutting-edge, left of center bluegrass sound thats hip, yet refined and tips a hat to the original masters of the art.
A young energetic trio from Raleigh, North Carolina who “REV UP” their audiences with a wide variety of Rhythm & Blues, Rock, Top 40, Oldies, and Dance Music! The trio includes Ron Ross-keyboards, Jason Sikes-lead guitar and Joey Brantley-drums. Combined, they represent 20 years of professional experience, which includes many VIP performances at Alltel Pavillion! Interestingly, all three sing lead or harmony and even switch instruments on occasion. THE MAGIC PIPERS, while small in number, will WOW you with their huge sound! Regardless of whether your location is a small patio or a large auditorium, one of their three state of the art sound systems allows this band to fit your party while providing fine quality sound. Artistic, dependable, and always crowd pleasing, THE MAGIC PIPERS PACK A POWERFUL PUNCH!!
